Q: When do internships start and end?

A: The official Zekelman Industries Summer 2027 Internship Program runs from May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027. 

Q: Are internships paid?

A: Yes. All Zekelman internships are paid positions.

Q: Does Zekelman provide housing?

A: Some positions are eligible for company-provided student housing. Please refer to the specific job posting for details or contact Sarah Zasso (sarah.zasso@zekelman.com) with questions.

Q: When is the application deadline?

A: Applications for the Summer 2027 Internship Program are due by January 5, 2027. Our recruitment season is heaviest from September to early December.  We encourage students to apply early, as opportunities typically fill before the deadline.

Q: When will I know if I have been selected?

A: Interviews and hiring decisions are made on a rolling basis. Offers are typically extended between September 2026 and March 2027.

Q: What type of internships are available?

 A: Internship opportunities vary by year and business need and may include areas such as engineering, operations, information technology, finance, human resources, sales, supply chain, and more.

Capstone Project & Presentation

Every intern owns a summer capstone project that directly contributes to Zekelman’s business. At the end of the program, interns showcase their work to leadership, highlighting impact, growth, and innovation.

Intern Summit Spotlight

Each summer, Zekelman interns have the unique opportunity to attend our all-expenses-paid Intern Summit. This multi-day experience brings together interns from across North America for an unforgettable mix of learning, networking, and fun.

During the Summit, interns:

  • Visit Zekelman Industries and Z Modular facilities to see our innovative work in action
  • Participate in professional development sessions designed to build career skills and confidence
  • Connect with senior leadership and gain insights into our business strategy and culture
  • Engage in team-building and networking activities with peers from across the company

The Intern Summit is a highlight of the program—an experience that showcases our commitment to developing future leaders while building lasting connections.
